No Miracle For The Dying

It has been revealed that the recently deceased Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, had, a few days before his death, desperately sought a miraculous healing from a prophet of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC). The Ooni was diabetic and all the prophet could do was take him to a river in the dead of night as is usually the practice with the CCC, which was of course totally useless. I would dare to add that the seriously ill traditional ruler would have been promised the healing he sought and parted with a handsome amount of money.
His condition worsened the very next day which necessitated his urgent trip to a London hospital, in an air ambulance, where he eventually died. It will be pertinent to mention that the late Ooni was a supporter of the oppressive military regimes of Generals Babangida and Abacha, both of whom, of course, rewarded him with juicy government contracts from which he was able to afford a palatial mansion in London near the Buckingham Palace Gardens.
I only wish to bring to the attention of Nigerians, especially, that those who are responsible for their woes, and for pushing them into the hands of prosperity preachers, also fear death to the point of clutching at straws like the Ooni, who unsuccessfully consulted a bogus prophet (not that there are any real ones).
Death is final and inescapable. The only medical miracles are the advances in medical science that will one day defeat feared illnesses like diabetes and cancer.
