Boko Haram terrorists continued their carnage in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, by detonating bombs in a mosque again and using female suicide bombers elsewhere. At least 61 persons died in both attacks which occurred last night and very early this morning respectively.
Coming in the heels of a previous attack inside a mosque just over a week ago, this suicide attack will, in all probability, lead to a decline in prayers being held in mosques, which is welcome news indeed. Islam nurtured Boko Haram, and with the the terror group having killed a lot more muslims than christians, it may seem that they are biting the hands that literally fed them. The Boko Haram terrorists are muslims, and if they decide to kill fellow muslims, they are not deviating very far from the oppression of the minority Shia muslims by the majority Sunni muslims in Saudi Arabia, the 'home' of islam. They are only following the example of the Saudis; where the Saudis have politically and economically crippled their muslim brethren for having a different belief than theirs, Boko Haram just bombs fellow muslims regardless of their sect.
