Boko Haram Detonates Multiple Bombs In Abuja Killing At Least 20

Just after Boko Haram's independence day 'gift' to Nigeria two days ago in which young female suicide bombers were employed, they struck in the capital city of Abuja last night, detonating multiple bombs within minutes of each other and killing at least 20 (graphic images, please beware!). This is the first bomb blast in Abuja in over a year and the first since Buhari became president.

This literal baptism of fire by the terrorist group will be certain to jolt Buhari from his reverie, and hopefully rethink the allocation of the ministry of petroleum resources under his direct supervision (just like former president Obasanjo did) instead of the ministry of defence, being a retired general and former military dictator. His campaign promises to crush Boko Haram has certainly taken a knock out punch with these multiple bomb blasts right at his doorstep. I shall be watching his response closely.

Boko Haram continues to do more harm to islam, at least in Nigeria, than its most vociferous critics in that country could collectively do. I will continue to maintain that these terrorists believe the koran and are acting in direct consonance with those beliefs. They want to islamize Nigeria, and if they kill fellow muslims along the way, then so be it. We can shove our heads as far into our assholes as we like, but what we will continue to smell is the stench of islam.
