Controversial Nigerian Pastor Warns Nigerians To Beware Of Celebrity Pastors And Mega Churches

Femi Aribisala, who is described on premiumtimesng.com as "a scholar and international affairs expert...currently an iconoclastic church pastor in Lagos...also a syndicated essayist for a handful of publications in Nigeria," has singled out Nigeria's "celebrity pastors and megachurches" for some verbal drubbing. He was basically telling Nigerians that his megachurch-running brethren are false teachers, while he is the real deal; in other words, the difference between six and half a dozen, or a classic case of the kettle calling the pot black.
I would rather not dwell on Mr Aribisala's eccentricities today. I have read a lot of his articles on Nigeria's Vanguard newspapers (vanguardngr.com) and the only conclusion I drew was that he has a major chip on his shoulders. He could ramp up his game, build a megachurch and buy himself a private jet to dilute the venom with which he speaks about his more 'successful' brother charlatans.
I would really like to thank him for helping do the job of making Nigerians realize that these celebrity pastors are frauds. Those who agree with him will eventually begin to see that he is no different than those he is antagonizing and will eventually realize that all these pastors (both the celebrity ones and the relative unknowns) are selling bullshit in truckloads. I wonder how long Nigerians can continue to eat this shit out of the hands of these men and women only have eyes for their pockets.
